How We Measure AI Visibility

AIShown — Scoring Methodology | Last updated: April 2026

What the AIShown Score measures

The AIShown Score (0–100) measures how visible you are to the main AI platforms. It answers: when someone asks an AI engine about your niche, do they hear about you?

How the free audit works

We evaluate four components (each 0–25): Entity recognition, Content depth, Authority signals, Niche relevance.

How paid reports work

Pro: Direct citation measurement

5 queries × 3 repetitions × 4 platforms (Perplexity, ChatGPT via OpenAI, Gemini via Google, Claude via Anthropic). Reports mention rate, consistency, context, source URLs, who appeared instead, and per-platform recommendation. Also includes citation-optimised article, validated schema markup, 30-day action plan, basic website check.

Growth: Weekly monitoring + competitor intelligence

Weekly citation monitoring every Monday across all 4 platforms. Competitor citation comparison for 3 competitors. Custom queries. 90-day adaptive roadmap. Full website audit. Social content for 3 platforms. Bio suggestions for 4 platforms.
